Not sure what to say?

Gladys,
I have known you a short time, but it seems we have been friends forever in our hearts. I know how much you loved Wilbur and what an interesting life the two of you shared.

I look forward to a long lifetime friendship!
Love,
Donna Nigh Jones

Our deepest regret and assurance of our prayers for your family. We were deeply blessed by both of your lives and so much more the way Wilbur continued to glorify God even in his suffering.

God bless,

Henry and Helen Maxey

Gladys, I don't know if you remember me or not. I was a nursing student at OBU when you were the school nurse. You really encouraged me to be a nurse and I have had a most rewarding career.
I did not know Wilbur. He was older
than me, but I remember hearing about him as I was from Weleetka and we were in the same association.
(My maiden name was Rasberry) I had heard about his accident, and my heart grieved for you. I will keep you in my prayers....

Dearest Gladys:

I am sorry other Foundation obligations prevented me from driving up for funeral. Although I knew Wilbur only through you and one brief visit in your home he seemed bigger than life in his acceptance of providence and his capacity to make good use of the time God gave him. You would have been married 49 years this coming month. One author expressed fleeting time:

“Full hours and multiple experiences, ticking in a fast march, one behind the other,...

Gladys,
I did not hear of Dr. Lewis'death until today. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know he will be greatly missed. I have such fond memories of my years as his office nurse. He was a wonderful teacher. You and your family will be in my prayers.

When I first heard about Wilbur's passing, I remembered when we put up yellow bows to welcome him back from Colorado. I wondered if angels had put up yellow bows in heaven and were just now taking them down to welcome him home. God bless Wilbur. God bless his family.

Wilbur was a dear friend during our high school days in Okmulgee. You could tell even then that he was destined to be a great man. It was a privilege to have known him.

Gladys, we are both saddened to hear of the departure of this Warrior of courage. You know, all of the family has always had a keen interest in his health and welfare. We know what a struggle it was to survive this long under these very adverse conditions. But now he rests in peace with his Heavenly Father. Our prayers are with you and the rest of the family. We are sorry we cannot attend the services and be with the family.
