William was born on March 27, 1926 and passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016. William was a resident of Canton, Michigan at the time of his passing. Bill enlisted in the United States Navy joining his 2 brothers George and Jack in defense of his country. He served as an Aviation Machinist 3rd Class Mate during World War II. He was stationed at the US Naval Training Center in Chicago Illinois the Naval Air Station at Moffett Field in San Francisco and at several locations throughout the Pacific Theatre. Over that period of service Bill was awarded among other medals the Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was married to Virginia. Visitation on Monday December 5th from 4-8pm Rosary Service at 7pm at McCabe Funeral Home 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd. Funeral Mass on Tuesday December 6th at 11:30am instate at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 23815 Power Rd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Angela Hospice in Bill's honor.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. My fond memories of him and Melvin street remain dear to my heart . My prayers are with you and very sorry I cannot attend the funeral Mass as I am in Florida.
