It was his friendly, fun-loving spirit, dedication to professionalism as an elite appraiser, and underlying integrity that set him apart. Many years ago, as a fellow MAI from Charlotte, whenever I had an assignment in the Richmond and/or surrounding Virginia area, I would call on Bill for data. It didn´t take long in those days for the best MAIs to figure out who their real peers were and help each other out. I knew Bill was smart, and very professional, and he was a brother-Barber.
