William Best Obituary


William Leon "LeeLee" Best, 66, of Reading, passed away at his home on Friday, August 7, 2015. He was the husband of Janet C. (Weidenhammer) Best, of Reading.

Born in Pitt County, North Carolina, on March 8, 1949, he was a son of the late James Anderson and Thelma Best.

He was a U.S. Naval and Marine veteran.

He was employed with Premium Beverage Packer as a janitor for several years. He previously was a janitor for Flemington Fashion Outlet, Berks Heim and Baldwin Brass. He also was employed with Luden's Candy Co. as a candy packer.

LeeLee enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Janet, LeeLee is survived by four sons: Clayton E. Cressman, Robert F. Nichlas, Harry Nichlas and Steven Nichlas and his wife, Chrissy; three daughters, Deborah Nichlas, Cheryl Nichlas and Mary Ann Green and her husband, George; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda Best.

A funeral Service for LeeLee will be Friday, August 14, 2015, at 12 p.m., in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Friday, from 11 to 12 p.m. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
