Not sure what to say?

Joan: We just learned of Bill's passing. We hope this message reaches you. Bill was a special person and a great shipmate with me on the Edwards when we were both junior officers. He was always a big help to me. We really appreciate seeing you and Bill at your home not too long ago in Bluffton. Thank you again for your hospitality. We hope you are faring well. Know that you have many friends; friends who think very highly of Bill.

To Bill's family, Bill was a great friend. We first met in submarine school and later when both of us served in beautiful Guam. I carried on many e-conversations with Bill over the years and miss his wit and wisdom. Bill was a perfect Naval officer and a kind and caring man. God bless him and his family

The staff of the American Cancer Fund® at www.AmericanCancerFund.org is sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. We have received a memorial donation in his name and our sincere condolences go out to his family.

Joanie, Ann Marie, Kathy, JP and family; Bill touched many lives. He certainly touched ours, and we will remember him with fondly, and with great respect. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

In loving memory of a lifelong friend, mentor, and Christian inspiration.

Dear Joan, family and friends of Bill´s, On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Bill´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor at multiple commands including the nuclear submarine USS Sam Rayburn (SSBN-635). To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas."...
