Mr. Bridges will surely be missed by many. He was a great neighbor to our family. When I asked my father, Jake Holcomb, how long they were neighbors he said "forever", but I think it was more like over 40 years. He and my father joined the Navy on the same day. They both took much pride in that service. My dad had 3 heart attacks and 2 strokes ... Mr. Bridges called and visited regularly. Calvin Bridges was a true American original and a tremendous Christian layman. As a businessman, member of the City Council, or active church member, he exemplefied the highest ideals of integrity, honesty, courtesy and respect.
