Mr. Bridges will surely be missed by many. He was a great neighbor to our family. When I asked my father, Jake Holcomb, how long they were neighbors he said "forever", but I think it was more like over 40 years. He and my father joined the Navy on the same day. They both took much pride in that service. My dad had 3 heart attacks and 2 strokes ... Mr. Bridges called and visited regularly. Just two months ago, Mr. and Mrs. Bridges stopped by to visit with him. Three weeks ago Mr. Bridges signed my Notary Public form as a reference. While visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bridges, Mr. Bridges proudly showed us many of the "toys" he had lovingly been given throughout the years. They all sang and danced to motion. He had the biggest smile as they performed! Yes, he was a special person. My sympathy to all the Bridges' ... Always take comfort in knowing those that believe in the Lord never see each other for the last time.

Calvin Bridges was a true American original and a tremendous Christian layman. As a businessman, member of the City Council, or active church member, he exemplefied the highest ideals of integrity, honesty, courtesy and respect. I am sure that his family, his church and his community will miss him greatly. He was a fine Christian, a good man, and a true friend. I will always be grateful to God for Calvin Bridges and for the blessing that he and Frances and their family have been to me and to my family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mr. Calvin will be greatly missed in our church and community. He had a servant spirit and loved to spend time sharing experiences with anyone who would listen. I will miss him every Monday morning. He would come in with a big smile and something humerous to say. He was ready to go brighten someone's day with a visit and some flowers. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. He is dancing in heaven now and just waiting for his other friends and relatives to join him. God bless you all.

My sympathies and love to the Bridges family. My rejoicing and celebrating to Mr. Bridges as he is in the presence of His Lord. I appreciate his kindness to me and his interest in the children's ministry that God has given me to do. Because of a broken ankle I will be unable to visit with family or attend the funeral. Please be assured of my love and prayers. Sarah
