William Bunch Obituary
1959-2016
William "Bill" W. Bunch was born in Houston, Texas on the 2nd of April 2 1959 and left this world on Monday, the 1st of February 1 2016 in Bellaire, Texas.
Bill never met a stranger. His kind, gentle, heart and honest soul made him fun to be around and his spirit infectious. His bright blue eyes were so full of life and pure love. Bill was universally referred to as "a great guy to be around." He attended Westbury High School and following graduation he went on to pursue his lifelong passion of architecture, and put his whole heart into opening and running his business, Woodcrafters for the past thirty years. Bill loved hunting, being outdoors, cooking with his daughter Kelli, spending as much time as he could with his beloved family and friends, and taking care of his dogs. He had so much enjoyment in the little things in life. Some of his most cherished moments were spent making breakfast and lunch feasts for all of Kelli and her friends. One of the proudest moments in Bill's life was watching Kelli graduate from Ole Miss and enrolling in Culinary School.
Bill will be sadly missed by everyone that he ever touched especially his family (including his in-laws) and his many lifelong friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Kern Bunch. He is survived by the love of his life for twenty-five years, Karen Lee Bunch; and his daughters, Kelli Bunch, Stephanie George and granddaughter, Jackie; his mother, Gretchen Moore and step-father Jimmie Moore; brothers, Craig Bunch, and Michael Bunch and wife Donna; sisters, Natalie and husband Mark Roux,and Susan Garcgynski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the after¬noon until eight o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 4th of February, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the Vigil will commence at seven o'clock in the parlor.
A funeral mass is to be conducted at half-past ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 5th of February, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speed¬way in Houston, where Msgr. William L. "Bill" Young, is to serve as celebrant. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at a venue to be announced during the service.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers will be Randy Curry, Ed Britt, Tucker Britt, Riley Curry, Reid Curry, Lee Clithroe, Mark Roux, Kenny Schnitzer, Kenneth Love, and Scott Ward.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, www.alzfdn.org, or the SPCA, www.spca.org.

Just now reading this obituary. Bill did at an extension for my patio in Katy many many years ago and I was going to call him to do something similar with my home today. When I Googled Bill Bunch, unfortunately I found this obituary. I met him through Bob Southwell at Houston Country Club. Mr. Southwell did not give out compliments often but he certainly loved and respected Bill. I am very saddened at reading about his passing!Patti Coughlin Stanwood

To the Bunch Family,
I learned of Bill's passing today, and am so saddened for your loss. Bill built a patio cover and patio for my wife and I in 2015 and he and his crew did a fabulous job for us. We felt as if we weren't just doing business but that we made a friend. I must say that I felt like I had known him forever, and that he was truly someone I would have enjoyed getting to know as a friend. In the several months of our construction project Bill spoke of his fun hunting trips, his love of cooking, and his love of family. He was so proud of his family and the business he had built. Our community has truly lost a wonderful individual, and I am sincerely sorrowful for your family's loss.

I met Bill in Westbury American Little League Baseball when we played on the Jaguars, and we stayed friends throughout high school. About 15 years ago he and his crew built an fabulous deck in my back yard and it still looks brand new to this day. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. Dale Gibson
