I knew Bill (Billy) since we met at Umass-Amherst, lo so many years ago. We kept in touch. I have followed him through his running career. It may not be generally known, but Bill, in addition to being a runner, competed, one year (I don't know which Olympics) on the Armenian Olympic Bobsled Team; Bill was very athletic, and he was drafted into service on the team, no doubt, as a 'pusher.'
