TODAY I LEARNED OF THE COI. WILLIAM H. COWPER DEATH. I DID NOT HAVE THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING HIM PERSONALLY. I WAS SHOPPING IN A THRIFT STORE IN LULING LA. AND I CAME ACROSS A BEAUTIFUL USMC BERKSHIRE HAT WITH THE NAME ENGRAVED COL. WILLIAM COWPER . MY SON IS FOURTEEN AND WANTS TO BE MARINE SO I PURCHASED THE HAT AND BROUGHT IT TO MY SON. WHO LOVED IT . WE LOOKED THE COL. NAME UP ON LINE AND READ ABOUT WHAT A WONDERFUL MAN HE WAS . WE WOULD LIKE TO LET THE FAMILY KNOW WHERE HIS HAT ENDED...

Bill moved his business Acme Addressing into the Willard Realty Loft in the 1980's. When I asked him what kind of lease term he wanted he said three five year terms, you are going to carry me out of here in a pine box. Well Bill, with Greg's help, burned through those three five year terms and then some providing years of work and stability to the many members of their other family at Acme Addressing. My sincere sympathy to the Cowper family. Mr. Cowper, was a drill instructor for an All Girl, Drum and Bugle Corp, in the early 60's. He was a kind man and helped us to win, many awards. We all loved him. Rest in Peace, Mr. Cowper.
