I am so sorry to hear about your dads passing...my late husband Johnny Longworth and I were friends of his thur the High Mountain Gunfighter's...we really had a wonderful time back then and enjoyed Duffy's friendship. NOW most of our gunfighters are up there in heaven together... He truly was a great guy!

Every time I would see Duffy he´d ask to see my fingernails. You see a long time ago Duffy told me that you could tell how much sex a person was getting looking at their fingernails. I really loved that man, and will miss him dearly.

My sweet dearest friend for over 50 years, Duffy is and always will be a legend. He earned it and any of the locals will agree. What a wonderful man he could tell you stories for days. Such a sweet considerate caring man, he love loved his family and friends. He had his daily rounds in most of the local establishments if he didn't show up in a day all of us would be calling or going up to CCP to see if he was all right. I moved off the hill a few years ago but always knew if Duffy was ok. I guess it was a week before he passed I'd had him on my mind alot wondering how he was doing only to wake up one morning to hear the news. My heart is broken in so many ways and words cannot express how much but to his family I am truly sorry for your loss and ours. I know his memory will never linger....not in my mind. If there is ever anything this family needs please reach out to any of us locals we will always be there for you. Forever in our hearts Iboya

My husband Dan and I would often talk to Duffy at breakfast time in Crestline Cafe. He just thought the world of you kids and grandkids, and told of many of your family´s escapades over the years. I could see he was slowing down, but just as soon as I thought he may be on his way out, he popped right back. I loved talking to him at great length but I never knew the half of his story. And, he was a storyteller. Rest in Peace Duffy. You will be missed.

I am so sorry for the family and the communities loss! Duffy was a wonderful flirt! And would always have something nice to say.. sit down with him for a spell and he would tell you his life story, adventures, and his time in Crestline. He was such a kind hearted man and will definitely be missed!!
