Dear Clint.....We still miss you and hope you have reunited with Gigi who we just lost. Together, you and she will be happily remembering your time together. And Gigi had a full life after you left. Ask her about it.
Forever and ever you are in our hearts! Much has changed for all of us!

Remembering Clint and the man he was, funny, musical, athletic, impulsive, intelligent and oh, so very kind. He was truly one of a kind that I will miss always. My family, his nephews and his uncle (now with him) were so deeply touched and thankful to have him as our family. You are still with us Clint. Seeing you again in a better place. Love always....

I had a dream of Clint a few years back. I had fallen asleep on my couch one night and was awoken by Clint with Jesus standing over his right shoulder. I was simply amazed at how bright and brilliant Clint's skin was. His body, his skin, his teeth, his smile was nothing I had seen before. I said "what are you doing here" Clint smiled and said "you never know when you are going to die. I had no idea I would die on 1-10 that day but I want you to know that your faith is in the right place with Jesus Christ". He then smiled, as did Jesus, and that was all.
Clint accepted the Lord as his Savior and resides in Heaven and I look forward to seeing him there one day.

It has been nearly three years, but I still think about Clint, especially when I start to play the songs we recorded together. Myself, my brother Rick (EZB), Clint and Brett. How could I ever forget someone so special in my life? He was truly a one of a kind guy. Still missing you Bubba....

My heart goes out to the Dunlap family, I was fortunate to have been a classmate of Clints' from W.T. Moore, Cobb & Lincoln. He was always a happy & fun-loving person. It is so amazing how people who grow up together regardless of the circles you travel in are never forgotten. May God continue to comfort your family with the many memories Clint left with all of us.

It was truly a great hurt and shock today to learn of Clint’s passing. It really hit me hard! I will really miss him, and always remember his smile, the fun times we (Clint, Lance Givens and I) had in our various classes at Lincoln High School, and his “thumps on my head” as we sat in class and/or walked the hallways. Clint was truly a sweet, funny, loving, and caring guy. I had not seen him since high school, but when I would see various classmates, I would always ask about him. He left a glowing, lifelong impression that will always be in my heart. My prayers go out to his wife and family.

My heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to Craig, Edith and Gigi, as well as others close to Clint. All who knew him remember his laugh, his kindness, his unique way of always making you feel good. Clint was a wonderful friend. Though losing touch sometimes throughout the years, we would just pick up right where we had left off before. It was great to be able to spend some fun golfing times with him in Central Florida when I moved down there. We lost touch the last year and a half, and I just heard he had passed, though I didn't want to believe it. It is awesome to know that Clint had come to know and love the Lord. My prayers go out to all those like myself who loved Clint and valued him so. We miss you buddy.

Clint, I will never forget you even though the best times we shared were way back in high school. I still think about you often and was devastated to hear the news. You made me laugh more than almost anyone I have ever known to this day. I was so happy to hear how wonderful your life had turned out...that you were happily married, pursuing music and building a business. You are so missed and loved.

Edith and GiGi,
Joetta and I were both shocked to learn of Clint's passing. Unfortulately, we did not learn of this until the evening following his service, otherwise we would have attended. Know though, that both of you are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless both of you, and we will cherish our found memories of Clint.

Clint, you were one of the few that I always considered another brother. I've lived more of my life knowing you than not, and I will be deeply affected by your absence. I will always remember with much love and adoration, your goofy ways, and all the nicknames, and the way you always lit up a room. You were very special in many ways and I know your legacy will live on through your music, your family and the many friends who loved you dearly. I will think of you often, with a smile, and always be happy that I was blessed with knowing you. Rest in peace my friend.

I may not have known Clint for as long as everybody else on this Guest Book might have. But he touched my life in the short period of time that I did know him, and he deeply affected me. I was always impressed with his happy marriage life, and the fact that he had so many lifelong friends. I respected him for that.
Clint Dunlap spent countless hours of his free time recording my songs and some of my other crazy ideas. He was truly an amazing individual!
He and his wife would tell me the greatest and funniest stories of which I'll never forget (i.e. the night that Dirty killed Franky the python). Clint and Gigi were both always so happy. They both shared a beautiful smile. They both made me smile so much whenever I saw them together. They made my cheeks hurt from smiling so much!
Clint and I also jammed together a few times with Brett, and those were some of the best times of my life as I recall!
I recently listened to three cd's (including one he had done for me on my birthday) that he had recorded for me out of the kindness of his heart. It meant a lot to me that he went out of his way to give up his precious time just to record my amateur music. It was sooooo heart breaking to listen to them knowing that he was gone, but his classic sense of humor and his laughter and banter between the songs forced me to laugh through all my tears.
He was EXTREMELY talented and BLESSED with a loving wife who understood and appreciated his passion for music. She was so understanding!!!
Gigi, I'm so sorry to hear this tragic news. This is a complete shock to me, and I almost just don't know what to say. If you ever need to talk, please don't hesitate to write me an email and I'll give you my number.
Clint was very lucky and blessed to have Gigi and his family nearby and he had so many wonderful friends too! I looked up to him for that.
Everytime I ever saw Clint, he always made me smile or laugh. I watched Monty Python with him and his beautiful wife, Gigi, and for once, I found a new appreciation for that type of dry humor. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I ever spent with him and with all of his friends. He was a wonderful person and he gave me a lot of excellent advice which I will NEVER forget.
I cherished his friendship even though so much time had passed since we last spoke, and I will miss him very, very much.
He was always honest and true and extremely kind (even to strangers). I am very saddened by this great loss that we all now must endure.
The only solace I can find or offer anybody is knowing (with a strong faith) that he IS in a better place, and we'll all be with him soon enough!
My thoughts and prayers are with ALL OF YOU (especially, Clint's friends and family) during this difficult time in our lives. May he be blessed in heaven until we finally reconvene. May his free spirit and friendly smile never be forgotten!
If Clint could talk to us at this moment (to bring us comfort or be by our sides in our time of sorrow), I believe he might say something like this right now...
THE LEGACY
WHEN I DIE, GIVE WHAT IS LEFT OF ME TO THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD.
IF YOU NEED TO CRY, CRY FOR YOUR BROTHERS THAT WALK BESIDE YOU.
PUT YOUR ARMS AROUND ANYONE AND GIVE THEM WHAT YOU WISH YOU COULD GIVE TO ME...
I WANT TO LEAVE YOU WITH SOMETHING, SOMETHING BETTER THAN WORDS OR SOUNDS.
LOOK FOR ME IN THE PEOPLE I HAVE KNOWN AND LOVED.
AND IF YOU CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT ME, THEN LET ME LIVE ON IN YOUR EYES, YOUR MIND AND YOUR ACTS OF KINDNESS.
YOU CAN LOVE ME MOST BY LETTING HANDS TOUCH HANDS, AND LETTING GO OF CHILDREN THAT NEED TO BE FREE.
LOVE DOES NOT DIE, ONLY PEOPLE DO.
SO WHEN ALL THAT IS LEFT OF ME IS LOVE-------GIVE ME AWAY.
GOD BLESS YOU and YOUR LOVED ONE'S, ALWAYS, CLINT DUNLAP!!!
I promise that I will try to make Clint's legacy live on, and I'll do it with a brave little smile.
BUT I'M GOING TO MISS HIM SO MUCH!!!
My family and I will all be praying for you and your family and friends.
Goodbye Clint...until we meet again.
Rest in peace forever, dear friend.
love,
Michele Lane (from the year 2K)
