William E. Farrar

I knew Mr. Farrar when he was principal of Madison Elementary School. I was a student there from 1977 to 1981. He was an extraordinary man who ran that school like a well-oiled clock. Discipline was superb, there were few problems, and learning was a pleasure. Combine that with a staff of excellent teachers who truly cared and you have a school that lives in my memory as an exemplar of what education can be. I credit Mr. Farrar for making it all possible.
