"The Lord blessed him with colorful times, millions of miles, a great wife, a beautiful part of the mountain world to perform in, a salty sense of humor, an eye for art and livestock, and lots of years to do it. Not bad -- not...

Not sure what to say?

Have just heard this news. I have many happy memories and Iexperienced great kindness from Bill. Belated condolences to the family. Kingsley Joliffe Australia

One day when I was cooking at the restaurant Bill snuck up on me with a handful of snow and put it down my back. I never did get even. It was a pleasure to work for them at various jobs at Wapiti!

My condolences Ramona and family!!! I love you

Dear Ramona and family - our profound condolences upon reading just today of Bill´s passing. Both of you were a big part of our decade in Lolo. I never tired of listening to Bill´s stories about growing up in Great Falls, and then meeting you Ramona, the love of his life. It was always fun to walk around the museum and hear his stories about acquiring the pieces of your wonderful collection. He brought those people to life. Our 25th wedding anniversary was that much more special since we...

Dear Ramona, Bret, Roger & Bart. I was saddened to find out that Bill had passed away. For some reason, I was thinking about you & Bill a few weeks ago and that is when I found out. I always loved going with my Dad (Raleigh) & Mom (Emma) to see you in Lolo growing up. I know that Bill & my Dad always enjoyed each other's company immensely. I wish I could have come to the memorial. You will be in my thoughts & prayers tomorrow. Sending love your way as well. I'm sure that Bill & my Dad are...

Bill was a wonderful, capable, talented one of a kind person. We enjoyed all of our encounters with him and always admired his enthusiasm and zest for life. He will be missed!

Love you both, Bill and Ramona <3

My thoughts and prayers are with Ramona and her family. Bill was a most unique person. His background made him a valuable member of the Montana Historical Society Board. He had a keen understanding of the steps we would have to climb to be successful managing the state-owned assets in Virginia City and Nevada City. I always listened carefully to his ideas, suggestions, and observations, and they helped guide my actions. He and Ramona helped me navigate the politics of the day (with both a big...

Bill has a strong legacy in Missoula. We will work to honor his memory at the Western Montana Fair. I'm so very very sorry Ramona.
