William E. "Bill" Janke

Memories of my good friend of some sixty years include his years in the American Legion Drum & Bugle Corps where his talents helped the Corp win several awards. The last time I was in Wichita we played golf and enjoyed the stories of being in the Chartered Train to Miami in 1948 where Bill and
Marilyn put together a little romance
that lasted from then until eternity.
Marilyn was a great "Twirler" with the
Corp and Bill told me, "I may marry that little beauty." So many...

Drake, I am so sorry to learn of your dad's death. I know that he will be greatly missed.
