William Kelly Obituary
Bill lived life to the fullest, embracing any and all opportunities for new and exciting adventures. A graduate of The University of Notre Dame (1974) and Brooklyn Law School (1977), he was a founding partner of the law firm Gerber, Ciano, Kelly and Brady LLP.
Bill enthusiastically served his community and made countless lifelong friends along the way. Bill served eight years on the Greenwich Board of Education and four years on the Greenwich Board of Estimation and Taxation. He ran for First Selectman in Greenwich in 2021 and for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1988. He was an active member and past President of Rocky Point Club and served on the membership committee of Ponus Yacht Club. Bill was currently chairing the Julian Curtiss School Building Committee.
Born in Garden City, NY, Bill was the son of Edward and Mary Kelly, one of ten children. Bill was predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law Ed (Pam) and John (Pam), Patty Ann McHugh and Annemarie Fiore. Bill is survived by his brothers Charles (Marge), Jim (Barbara), Larry (Nancy), Gerry (Liz) and his sisters Mary McCarraher (Barry), Katie Townsend (Bob) and Anne Kelly, his brother-in-law Jay McHugh, and sisters-in-law Gail McHugh and Susan Lally (Mike). Bill is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and always felt his love.
A wake will be held on Monday July 1, 2024 at Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 31 Arch St. from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A funeral will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at 10 am.

Bill was far more than a great attorney he was dear friend to us at Corcon. The first day I met Bill I was with my business partner Louie Lyras, who sadly passed on January 31 of this year. Louie approaching the lunch table where Bill was seated said, before hello, or I am Louie Lyras, or what would be a normal form of introduction, Louie started the introduction by saying "I hate attorneys". Bill, in classic Bill form, responded "I do too, so just sit down". From that point on Corcon never looked to any other attorney except those he brought to us of which all are talented and well versed under Bill´s mentorship.
