William J. King

When Mr. King arrived at Dauphin Deposit, he noticed the work my father, Jim Schropp, performed. He was instrumental in obtaining a better financial situation for him. If my father did not have the benefits and pay at the time of his sudden death, my mother would not have the financial independence she values. Thank you, Mr. King, and say "hi" to my dad for me.

I send my deepest condolences to the King family. I only had the pleasure of meeting Mr. King over the weekend of his son, Greg's wedding but I was very impressed with him. He was a distinguished gentleman and a gracious host. I am edified by hsi many service projects and philanthropy. May he rest in peace, and may God console his widow, his children, and his grandchildren.

As a former Dauphin Deposit Bank and Trust Company employee, I feel a sense of loss upon the death of Mr. King. My deepest sympathies to members of the family, friends, and others who share our loss. He was an excellent banker, philanthropist, and good citizen.
