Not sure what to say?

Bill Maher was a great combination of brains, passion and heart. I first met him as a teenager and he grew to be a great friend to our family. He'll be missed by all who knew him.

My heart is aching and I am so sorry for your loss. I was a colleague and more importantly a friend during the entire time he was at CMU. He was so professional and such a bright light in so many lives. We talked two or three times a year and laughed about our times in the office. I spoke in length to him in January about my cancer treatments and his family and mine. He loved all of you so much and his voice would sparkle whenever he mentioned your names. I thought about him a few...

We know this is a difficult time for you. We too share your sorrow for the loss of your father. I have been Bill's friend since grade school. In addition to getting a great education at Catholic Central we enjoyed our time together playing sports. Bill starred at basketball while I favored baseball.
Life took us in different directions during our working years but we were able to reconnect in retirement. Bill spent much of his winters with us in Arizona. Our conversations regularly...

We met Bill about 26 years ago when we moved to Michigan. He and Mary Jean always welcomed us at any event with other friends, family, and extended family. This is such a great group of people! From weddings and birthday parties, to holidays and happy hours - you all know how to have FUN! We cherish the friendships and all that we have shared over the years. We will miss Bill and all of his stories, humor, and advice. While we’re happy that Bill is now at peace and with Mary Jean, saying...

I had the pleasure of working with Bill at CMU for several years. He was a fine, hardworking, caring, and sincere administrator. Sorry for your loss.

To the Maher Daughters and Families, So sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather. He was a wonderful man; very pleasant, and very easy to work with. I worked with your father in the Saginaw CMU Extension Office for several years. We would share talks about our daughters, of which I had two. I know he will be deeply missed, but cherished in your hearts for ever. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. God Blessings and Peace.
