68 years of age and Allentown resident, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023. He is survived by son Justin with his wife Emily, and daughter Jessica Himmelwright with husband Ryan. Services will be announced on a later date by the Gilbert Funeral Home of Whitehall.

Justin and family, Attended a local basketball game last Friday, and I thought I saw your father there. On second glance, I realized it wasn't him. When I saw this in the Sunday newspaper, and I blown away. I went to Jr high school with Bill and saw him many times through the years. He was the best guy! Always willing to help someone or offer some great suggestions or advice. We chatted on the phone a few times when he had the game store and we swapped stories about our teen kids. He...

Jess, JT and the rest of Bill´s family I am so very sorry to hear that Bill has passed away. He was not only a friend to me, but a mentor. He personified teamwork, and his love of the Mets was always entertaining. I `ll remember his dedication to the City of Allentown, his knowledge of the history of the police department and most importantly his pride in his kids. Rest well Billy

Justin, Jessica , and family, Condolences for the loss of the strength and soul of your family. Your father and I commiserated about rearing our young kids and teens many times. We shared parenting tips and the joys you brought him as you matured. Above all your was a wonderful teacher, mentor, and friend many rookie and veterans alike... he taught a lot by the way he walked professionally for the good of all.
