William Milburn Obituary

William H Milburn of Lyons, Colorado, passed on at home unexpectedly on Feb 17, 2012. William was born to Hampton B. Milburn and Lorayne (Dean) Milburn on May 17, 1936 in Amarillo, Texas and raised in Phoenix and Los Angeles. He graduated with a BS in Psychology from UCLA in 1958 and an MD from UCLA Medical School in 1963. He completed his Pediatric training at University of Wisconsin Madison in 1966 and served actively in the Air Force for two years. He and his family moved to the Lyons area from Albuquerque in 1980. Dr. Milburn retired from both the Army Reserve as a Lt Col., and from the practice of Pediatrics and Allergy-Immunology in 1989. He retired from Medical Editing in 2009. He enjoyed activities with his family, life-time learning, and mineral collecting. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Loretta, of Lyons, sons Mark (Sharon Powell) of Lyons, and Michael (Kristen) of Longmont; daughters Lori Boland (Conrad) of Loveland, and Juliet Bartolo (Scott) of Alaska; his brother, Burton B Milburn and nephew, Eric Milburn, both of Antioch, CA, and ten wonderful grandchildren, ages 5 to 18 years.
