Not sure what to say?

Bill was interesting man...I was in his classes 1966-69..we shared many interests;; especially Soviet Union history...the old leaders.. his wife Renate cooked dinner many times

I Googled Mr. Morlock today, since he was the answer to my favorite teacher for a security question. He taught me history, especially the Eastern European variety, for two years at SI (Class of '66). I especially remember his lectures on Jan Huss, a Czech reformer in the early 15th century. He invigorated my love of history which helped launch my career in military intelligence, which ironically enough he ventured into as well. I had the opportunity once to meet him and his family and...

Bill was a very dear friend when we taught together at St. Ignatius. I really loved him as he was a close friend. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in God's peace and await my joining him in eternity.

I met Bill at our eedding reception in 1989 and he was such a nice intense person. I did not know he was my ex husbands teacher at one time. He always stressed how intelligent my ex husband was in school. I respected his opinion so much. I will always remember the New Years we spent with his family.

A great history teacher. Taught me Russian history, and a credit to SI. Will be missed. Class of '72

Mr. Morlock taught me German for three years, from 1965 to 1968. But he taught me much more than that. He is probably the most learned man I have ever met, and that includes my undergraduate and graduate school professors. He knew so much about so many areas! What I most appreciated about him is that he really engaged with me in discussions ranging from matters of religion to culture, history, and, perhaps most importantly, how to live a good life. He took a 15-year old seriously. And...

Mr. Morlock was a superb teacher who brought the study of history alive for me deeply for his students. I attended Cal Berkeley, as a history major of course, and he would visit me on occasion. What a concerned, caring and kind man. I will be forever grateful that he touched my life. He made me proud to be an SI grad, Class of 1966.

I remember Mr. Morlock -- that is what we called him -- fondly as a student at SI (1960-1964). I especially recall how he noticed my keen interest in history and urged me to learn German as an avenue into research. He tried to tutor me in after school sessions, but I was not a very good student at the time. Be that as it may, he was a great teacher and will be missed by generations of Ignatians. Auf Wiedersehen, Bill.

An incredible educator that was a true San Franciscan and Ignatian. A gentleman that will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
