Skip my friend, I will miss you always. You know we have been best buds since the first grade at Prestonia. We moved closer to Okolona later on, and your family did too. So we got into all kinds of experiences, some that taught us many important life skills, and being responsible to fix whatever you broke!!! For the last fifteen years approximately, we were so happy to have visit with us on Christmas. He was a world of information on all of his experiences in the service. He was kind and a real gentleman, and he will be missed greatly. Thanks for all the years. Love from Barry.

I've know Ship since the 1st grade at Prestonia, We also went to High School together. He would often stop by our home when he came to Louisville, He was a Special Friend. I have a picture of our First grade at Prestonia and he is standing next to our teacher, He was Saluting in the Picture. He was one the Sweetest, Kindness people I Know. He was always so Friendly to all he would meet. and had a Great since of Humor. When Barry & Myself went to the nursing home off Dixie Highway, he and Barry told one story after another and it was a very happy time. He will be missed by all who loved him. He will always have a Special place in my heart he was a Special person and a Dear Friend I Loved Very Much.
