Not sure what to say?

I am truly heartbroken to learn of Bill's passing. We were friends from the first grade and all through our years at Hermitage High. When he was in Elementary school, I used to help with various talent shows and Bill would be practicing on the piano. Several of his friends would stop what we were doing and just stand at the piano and listen with appreciation of his talent even then. He always had a smile and something nice to say to everyone. We loved watching him play baseball at school -...

Bill was a great person who will be missed by many whose lives he touched. Such a good friend at HHS and UR. Still remember sharing dinner with Bill and Linda at Peninsula Grill in Charleston a few years ago. So sorry to hear of his passing. Best to Linda and his family members.

I'm very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. We grew up and went to school together, played Babe Ruth league baseball and then graduated from the University of Richmond together also. My sincerest sympathies and condolences to Linda and the rest of his family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this sorrowful time.

I´m so sorry to hear this . He was our doctor in Abingdon Virginia for years . We loved him . He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for the family. Geraldine Ball Holloway

Remember you as my pediatrician and a good friend to my mom, Cathy, and my dad, Dick Gardner. Hope you and Dad are catching up in heaven!

Sending thoughts and prayers to Linda and family. Bill was always so genuine and such a gentleman. The twinkle in his eye gave a hint of some mischief, but he used that smile to show his concern for others.

Doc as we called him in our home town, where he took care of me, my brother and his family and my parents. He was a wonderful doctor. I know God needed him. I pray for peace and comfort for the family during the grieving process and the pain your going through. Dwana Snodgrass Doane Friend

Dr. Nuchols was our family physician for many years. Always very concerned and helpful. May the Lord give grace in the days ahead. We´re never ready to say goodbye.

Prayers for comfort to family and friends. Doc was a Washington Redskins fan so I always wore my Dallas Cowboys tie when I had an appointment. We enjoyed the friendly banter until Doc would walk in with a rubber glove up to his shoulder. Rest is peace Dr. Nuckols, you were one of the good guys.
