William "Red" O'Connor, 72, native of Craughatoosane, Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland. Beloved husband of Bridget, nee Carney. Devoted father of William J. (Christine), Kerry (Neil) Duggan and Michael (Megan). Proud and doting grandfather of Brendan Patrick and Liam Thomas Duggan. Loving brother of James (Frances) of Chicago, Dan (Alice) of London, Maurice, Pat (the late Kay), John (Kathleen), Michael and Peg (the late Tom) Kennelly of Ireland. Dearest son of the late John and Hannah O'Connor. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Funeral Saturday 9:45 am from Blake - Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn to St. Germaine Church, Mass 10:30 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Retired member of UFCW Local 546. Retired employee of High - Low and Colony Foods. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. My condolences to the O'Connor family. I just heard of Red's passing. He was truly a unique personality that I'll never forget. We always got along well, and he even put up with my goodnatured imitation of him. With a beer and an Irish folk song, farewell Red.
