William Rogister Obituary

March 18, 1921 - April 22, 2015 William James Rogister, Jr. Born in Concord, MA, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in Apple Valley, CA. Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Viola Rogister, his daughter Melodie Adams, his son Mark Rogister, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and his many friends. Bill's love of photography began at age 14 and led him to become a combat photographer in WW II in the South Pacific. After his service, Bill had a photography studio in Hollywood, CA from 1946 until his retirement in the 1980's. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn and his oldest son William III. Bill was very active in more than 20 Masonic organizations throughout his Masonic career. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, May 31 at 11am at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park, 1218 Glendon Ave., Los Angeles 90024.
