Not sure what to say?

I felt honored and blessed to be part of Reader's Circle with Bill, even briefly and will miss his generous spirit. He was a wonderful reader and obviously a dedicated lover of the theater.

So sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. I have such fond memories of you both. I send all good thoughts and warm hugs to you, Joan. Janet Miller

Dear Joan and Family - Although we lost touch long ago, Bill has never been far away from mind. As a drama student of his at St. Johnsbury Academy, I along with so many others were touched in ways that are with us today. His spirit, humor, encouragements and admonishments were always spot on. Sincere condolences to the family.

I was very saddened to learn of Bill`s passing. I had a great honor and pleasure of knowing him as a friend and working with him on various theater projects over the past 30 years. He will be sorely missed.

joan , i am so sorry about bill´s death. although i have not seen either of you in recent years, I've long been aware of his contributions to theater and yours to visual arts. Reading the obit, i realized bill and i, who are the same age, lived in Arlington during the same time. i wish i had had an opportunity to compare notes. fondly, kay slaughter

Dear Joan, I knew Bill as a schoolmate and later as the glue that kept our Landon class of '57 together. He was the best of us. Larry Krucoff

Dear Joan and Family We just learned of Bill's death and were so saddened. He was a "great guy". We remember meeting him at the Irish sessions where Gail played hammered dulcimer and Jerry enjoyed the whole scene...especially the humor and kindness of Bill. Our son Nick saw him in a play at Heritage and later met Bill to congratulate him. Again Bill was kind and enthusiastic about theatre. Nick ended up a theatre major at William and Mary and later received an MFA in acting at Columbia....

I am so sorry to hear the loss of Bill. My love and thoughts are with you all. Peace be with you all.

Sorry, Bill, we never had that lunch we talked about doing for 20 years! Was very fond of Bill! His warm hearted direction of "Ah, Wilderness!" at Live Arts will never be forgotten...
