Not sure what to say?

So sad for this loss. Knew him for years & basically grew up with him in Black Rock. He loved to laugh. Great memories Thoughts & prayers to his family.

My sincere condolences to all of Monsignor Scheyd´s family. I´ve known Monsignor Scheyd since St. Ann´s grammar school. He was a wonderful friend and spoke at my husband, Gary´s, funeral Mass to my family and friends. He will always be remembered as a friendly, compassionate and God loving man. Billy, may you rest forever in our Lord´s arms.

Sincere sympathies to all of Monsignor Scheyd's family.HE was a regular visitor our house having coffee with my mother and her friends. Taught me Central Catholic High School and officiated at my wedding and my father and mother's funeral. GOD BESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY

Pop scheyd thank you for 40 years of sobriety

Monsignor Scheyd married us in St. Augustine´s Cathedral eons ago, however, eons before that, he snuck in with a group of kids from the neighborhood to see the Beach Boys in the stadium behind Central High in Bridgeport´s North End. No one dared argue with "the priest" or his group. It was a fantastic time and remains to this day one of my favorite memories. Rest easy after all your hard work.

He was also my guidance counselor and religion teacher at CCHS in Norwalk. Monsignor always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone who was fortunate to know him; a truly spiritual man. I last saw him about 6 years ago at my home parish of St. Andrew in Stuart, FL, as he was concelebrating our Ash...
