Read MoreI'm really sorry to hear of Putt's passing. He was one of the toughest and friendliest guys I knew growing up. We played tackle football weekends at Quaker Hill School and Conn College and he was always among the first to be chosen when selecting sides. I still have a few aches in my ribs from a Putt tackle. I will miss him, he was truly a part of the legacy of Quaker Hill in the 50s and 60s.

Bill will be missed in Quaker Hill. He was a constant community member, kind and helpful to to so many of us. It was always a pleasure to spend a little time with him and hear his thoughts!

Bill was a kind and gentle soul. He was friendly and so loved living in Quaker Hill and boating on Smith Cove. I'll remember Bill's willingness to offer others a helping hand, particularly those in need of comfort and care. He will be missed.
