Had the opportunity to know and work with Bill while we were students at LMU along with our friend Terry Runzler, and sports information director Barry Zepel. We all worked together on getting LMU basketball on local cable TV back at the start of the great basketball era at LMU in the 1980s. Bill had an amazing on air style that combined excellent voice, outstanding broadcasting skills and with a special relaxed and enjoyable style. His deadpan dry wit and humor always kept you guessing...

I first met Bill at LMU when he was the voice of the Lions. Then, many years later he became a colleague as he returned to his Alma Mater, Notre Dame High School, to teach. He was a tremendously nice guy and well-liked by all.
