I think about Bill every time I play golf. He was a great player and a great man.

I'm so greatful to have know Bill and that I was able to get to know and learn from him. Such a great man in his own right.

Played cards with Bill and Velma was at the Olympics in LA when they gave the metal's back to the family was a memorable time and a honor to be there. Was a wonderful time with Bill, Velma, Jackie and all the rest of the family. God bless you Bill

I met Bill several years ago while he was volunteering at DFW Airport. He was an inspiration to me from the first handshake. We became friends and played a few rounds of golf together. He was 78 yrs old and was able to shoot a 78. I introduced him to former Dallas Cowboy Butch Johnson. They became friends and we all played golf together. Bill was a great instructor in the game and in life. I also introduced him to some people in Fort Worth who might have been able to help get the Jim Thorpe...
