Not sure what to say?

Dear Jane, a voice from the past. All these lovely notes written about Win are true, a lovely person who liked to talk and tell stories. You 4 Ladies on our Bike adventure made our day and many memories later Richard and myself are still dancing around the Piano, with our sombrero hats on. Win liked it,
Fondly, Christa

Win was a wonderful man at all points of view . He was bright, knowledgeable, dedicated, generous, friendly , helpful , active , rational very very interesting etc...He and Jane were certainly the main reason why we came to North Hero , year after year .We needed and enjoyed to see our friends every summer .Discussing with Win was learning a lot, explaining a problem was getting the solution... His (and Jane's )warm welcome, when arriving tired from Europe , was a balm after the roughness of...

Dear Jane,
What a legacy, I loved his endless fascinating stories, the tours trough his vegetable gardens, sitting on his beloved tractor, your beautiful cottages,
He will.be missed, but his spirit will continue.
Love, your biker friend,
Christa

There are few over time who have had a significant impact on Vt agriculture as an extension educator and teacher, and Win was one of them.

I had the chance to meet Win twice in his very nice hometown North Hero VT. He was a wondeful host. It was so interesting to listen to his WW2-experiances and to see the great colored pictures he did of the Burma Road. I would like to express my deepest sympathiy to his family.

Jane and family,
Your loss is our loss, Win was a wonderful friend and colleague in Extension. Win was one of my early Extension heros, mentors and role models. He instilled upon me the desire to make the best, most interesting slide shows I could muster. He also impressed upon me the need for the largest screen I could carry around to meetings...I've always used no less than a 6' screen, and that is because of Win!
My heart goes out to you. He was one of a kind!

UVM...

Dear Jane & family,
North Hero and the world lost an extraordinary man with Win's passing. We shall miss him.

My condolences for your loss. I got to know Win at UVM, as a student and later with the Extension Service. He had an incredible breadth of knowledge, interest in the world around him. I never left his office without learning something new – time well spent.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Many memories of Winn Way on "Across the Fence".
