Zachary Glasgow Obituary

FLOYDS KNOBS - Glasgow, Zachary Lawrence, 23, died January 4, 2012 in Louisville.

Zach was the beloved son of Mark and Gail Glasgow and older brother to Graham. Zach was born in Little Rock, AR. He graduated from Floyd Central High School in 2007. Zach loved computers and worked in that field for Insight in their Network Operations Center. Zach, was an Eagle Scout, loved getting out in nature and loved music. He was really happy when he combined the two with a music festival. He possessed an uncanny ability to examine a complex problem and get to the very essence of causes and effects.

Zach was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mark O. and Margrit Glasgow; his uncles, John and Stephan Glasgow; maternal grandfather, Paul Gittings; his uncle, Larry Gittings; and cousin, Paul A. Gittings.

Zach leaves behind friends and family who loved him and will miss him dearly including his grandmother, Reba Gittings; uncles and aunts, Mark, Todd and Britt (Leah) Gittings, Saati and Nina Glasgow, Aby Gittings and Kathy Myers; and cousins, Brian, Page, Peyton, Makinley and Madison Gittings, Sumaya, Aisha and Sami Saati.

Memorial visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1307 E. Elm Street, New Albany IN. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with a meal to follow.

Memorial donations may be made to St. John Presbyterian Church, The Healing Place or the Salvation Army.

I had the honor and privilege to work with Zach. Although, I have only known Zach for a few months, I have become very close to him, being that he and I were the only ones to work the shift together that we worked. He is a very intelligent, thoughtful, and generous person. I will consider him a good friend until the end of my days. He and your family will be in my thoughts. Rest in peace Zach.
