Zachary Lee Head

1984 - 2025

Zachary Lee Head passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2025, at the age of 40. Zach is survived by his parents Jean Head of Clinton, MS, and William Leonard and Jennifer Head of Madison, MS; brother William Lindsey (Shanna) Head of Ridgeland, MS; Grandmother Faye Warren of Clinton, MS; Grandparents Al and Patsy Parrish of Flora, MS. He is also survived by aunts and uncles including Harold (Amy) Head of Madison, MS; Jan (Mike) Green of Flora, MS; Mike (Teresa) Warren of Clinton, MS; Other family includes several cousins and family members who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Lindsey and Aletha Head of Madison, MS; Cooper Warren of Clinton, MS; and Uncle Richard Warren of Clinton, MS.

Zach was born on July 23, 1984, in Flowood, Mississippi to Jean and William Leonard Head. He graduated from Tri-County Academy in 2003 and went on to earn a degree in Business from the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, he made his home in Hattiesburg, MS, for a while where he worked different jobs and later spent several years contributing to the family business, Head Auctions & Realty. He also spent many wonderful summers working with family and friends in Lindsey's Lemonade Stand at the Neshoba County Fair, a business started by his beloved grandfather Lindsey "Big Daddy" Head.

Zach lived life fully and without reservation. He loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and believed that time spent with family and friends was time well spent. Whether he was cheering on Ole Miss football, hunting deer in the woods, practicing Krav Maga, or cooking up a spicy dish in the kitchen, Zach poured his heart into the things he loved. He was quick with a joke, generous with his smile, and never met a stranger he couldn't turn into a friend.

To know Zach was to know joy. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and a spark that lit up every room.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home (6011 Clinton Blvd | Jackson, MS 39209) with a Celebration of Life immediately following at Breakers Condominium Clubhouse (58 Breakers Lane | Ridgeland, MS 39157) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and honor the memory of a truly unforgettable soul.
