Jason Lane "Jay" Frost, Sr. of Bonita Springs, FL died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at North Collier Hospital as the result of a fatal heart attack. He was 44 years old. He was born September 10, 1972 in Florissant, MO and had been a resident of Bonita Springs for the past 15 years coming from St. Charles, MO.

Jay graduated from St. Charles High School in 1990 and joined the U.S. Army soon after. He served in Army from 1991 thru 1994 and was stationed in Panama for a short period of time. He currently was working for Expert Air of Naples.

Jay's passion was music. He was a singer, songwriter and performer here in the Southwest Florida area. He played many events here locally including the "Taste of Bonita" and "Celebrate Bonita" as well as many local lodges and he even played at the famous "Tootsies Orchid Lounge" and other venues along Broadway in Nashville, TN.

He is survived by his son, Jason Lane Frost, Jr. of Bonita Springs, FL; his mother and stepfather, Linda M. and Bill Ladd of Truesdale, MO; his fiancée, Staci Lynn Sukel of Bonita Springs, FL; his brother, Christopher W. Rowland and his companion, Katrina Massey of O'Fallon, MO; 3 nieces, Aubrey, Autumn and Lilly Rowland; his nephew, Denver Melton, IV and his stepson, A.J. Carter. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the St. Louis area.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Bonita Springs Moose Lodge 25101 Old 41 Rd, Bonita Springs, Florida 34135.
