Richard Zebo Naples, FL 7/7/1939 to 5/5/2015
Richard Zbikowski (Dick Zebo) passed away on May 5, 2015.
Preceded in death by father, Edward Zbikowski; mother, Lillian Cook; and daughter, Lynne Luke.
Survivors include wife, Milena P. Zebo; daughters, Greter Yero and Katherine Griffin; son, Christopher Zebo; brothers, Lawrence and Ronald (Cindy); sisters, Genevieve Teri O'Connell (Jim) and Linda Scholp (Paul); nephews, Lawrence, James O'Connell, Nicky, Perry, and Anthony Massey; nieces, Diane (Doug) Gruber, Meghan (Adam) O'Day, Jeanette (JP) Kuszlyk, Jeannene O'Connell, Dawn Massey, and Talhy Zbikowski; and 11 great-nephews; and eight great-nieces.
A memorial service will be held at the Aviano at Naples Clubhouse from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, 12644 Biscayne Court, Naples, FL 34105.

Not a day goes by that I don´t think of you. I miss your voice, your laughter, the way you made even the hardest days feel easier just by being there. The world feels different without you, like a piece of me is missing, and no matter how much time passes, that ache never truly fades.

Dick Zebo was the real living manifestation of destiny. I first met him on a diving expedition to Middle Caicos in the mid '80's. He was a wild mix of John Wayne and J. Cousteau. He tested my toughness on the beach below Eagle's Rest by daring the barracuda and feeding me raw Couch. We bonded when he saw that we both used a "Calypso J" regulator meaning that we both had been diving since the '60's. I photographed Dick wrestling with huge crabs 80' down the wall and riding sea turtles. He challenged me to build a research station on M. Caicos, but my University (Penn State) never bit. Dick was a fearless innovator and one of the most energetic personalities I have ever met. Farewell my friend. You will always have "another day in paradise!"

I will always remember Dick for his fearless delight in living the American Dream. He dearly loved his close family, worked tirelessly (on and off the golf course) and was always bubbling with enthusiasm for whatever task he had in hand! It was a pleasure to have known him. Lynda and I have know DIck for over 25 years and thank him for his tireless efforts to develope Middle Caicos which he loved. There will not be another person like him. Our condolences to Melina, Chris who we know and family.

Meeting Dick on Provo, back in 1996, truly changed our lives - it led to our love of Middle Caicos and introduced us to some wonderful, lifelong friends who we otherwise never would have met. We thank him for that and send our heartfelt condolences to all of Dick's family.

We were so very sorry and shocked to hear of Dick's untimely passing. It is so sad that he left this world too soon. He was certainly like no one else I ever knew. He was so many things to so many people. I will always remember the years that I worked with him. He was a changed man once he met you. I think back of all that he went through to get you here and how great it was the times we had once you and Greter arrived. Gary is looking back at all the great times they had Golfing at Hibiscus for years and all the great Friday nights we had. He will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. I was so very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I have known him for twenty years and will miss him. We met playing golf at Hibiscus, and were teammates on a tournament team that played a legendary playoff that lasted eight holes, we spoke of that team often; including the last time I saw him, May 3rd 2015. Nothing but love and respect for this man, he was as full of life and and as good natured as any man I ever met.
