It is with a heavy heart that our family announces the passing of Terry Krumm, long time resident of Naples, Florida, on August 20th, 2017. Terry was born May 8th, 1934 in Elgin Illinois, to Ruth Schaeffer and Raymond M Krumm.

Terry attended Elgin Academy which offered a strong Art program. He graduated Elgin High School in 1952 and was All State Basketball Champion. He went to the University of Denver on a Basketball Scholarship where his Art studies were temporarily interrupted by a stint in the US Army during the Korean War. He applied to Hunter College for graduate school and was offered a teaching position as well as acceptance into the Masters Program due to the strength of his Portfolio. Terry achieved a Doctorate in Education at the University of Massachusetts. His teaching career began in Bakersfield, California when he accepted the teaching position over an offer to play Pro Basketball...because teaching paid better. He enjoyed an accomplished career in Academia at several colleges and universities throughout the country. His artwork is in galleries and museums all over the world.

Terry leaves behind wife Laura M. Krumm (nee Santangelo,) and daughters Kira A. Krumm (Juan Munera), Kristi A. Salmon (Ric Salmon), LTC Justine S. Krumm (LTC Aaron M. Poulin), and was pre-deceased by beloved son Maximillian R. Krumm. Terry is also survived by six grandchildren: Jake, Marco, Samantha, Ryan, Raymond and Marisa.

Following his long career in Art, Education, Architecture, Film making, Design and World Travels, he has spent recent years in his Florida studio painting and cataloging his works and at home with Laura. Terry was both a benefactor and strong supporter of the USO.
