Bessie Clancey Obituary

Bessie Adeline Clancey, 92 TEMECULA -- A gentle lady, actually an Angel on Earth, who at 92 years, was here too short a time. She is survived by and was a devoted second Mother to her niece, Jeanette Smith, and two nephews, Robert Byam and David Byam. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was an avid gardener, loved roses and all blooming flowers, and tended them with loving care. More importantly, she was a friend to every animal, befriending any feral kitty that she could capture and feed at her patio door, preparing sliced turkey and other feasts beyond compare to present to them. Her bird feeder overflowed, so that the doves joined the rabbits and squirrels in a circular area on the ground to gather up all the spilled seeds. Bess was entertained by this just as much as her regular following of the L.A. Laker's, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Anaheim Angels ~ as well as following all golfing events on television. Bess was born in Bozeman, Montana, married to the love of her life, Donald L. Clancey, for over 40 years and lived in several locations over the years, including Arizona, Michigan, Indiana and Oakland, Saratoga, Anaheim Hills and Temecula, California. Funeral services will be conducted by England Mortuary of Temecula at the graveside, Rose Hills Cemetery, Garden of Solace, Whittier, California, on Sat., August 28, at 2:00 p.m. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com

Bess,
You will be so missed! It was always such a delight to visit you. I remember you waking bright and early, being all dressed and saying, " Let's go have some coffee and a cigarette with a big smile on your face." I always felt welcome and enyoyed being with you. I hope to have your outlook and attitude towards life. We'll see you again. Send my love to Terry. May you rest in the peace of Christ.

Bess...you were such a kick in the pants! The memories of riding in the back of your car when you were cruising at a just over the speed limit (way over) and I was scrambling to find my seat belt. You touched my heart from the moment I met you. You will forever remain in my heart. Your family loved you and enjoyed you so much! RIP Bess...Cheers!

I love you Bess. You were a grandmother to me, and a mother to my father, and a friend to all. Your compassionate heart touched everyone. All your pets were lucky to have you for a mom, too!
