CHAMPAIGN – Ronald "Ronnie" Palmisano, 40, of Champaign died on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at The Carle Arbours. There will be a visitation on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St., Champaign.
Ronnie was born on April 26, 1967, in Urbana, a son of Ed and Jeanie (Broderick) Palmisano. He is survived by his son, Alex Palmisano of Champaign; his parents; one grandfather, Francis Palmisano of Champaign; one sister, Debbie Palmisano of Littleton, Colo.; one brother, Rob, along with his wife, Kim Palmisano of Champaign and their son, Nathan.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Virginia Broderick and his paternal grandmother, Kathleen Palmisano.
Ronnie was employed by Borchers Decorating in Champaign. He was a member of Carpenters Local 44 and the Sadorus Sportsman Club. He enjoyed all sports, especially NASCAR, also karaoke, country music and fishing with his son.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alex Palmisano Care Fund at First Federal Savings Bank, 1311 S. Neil St., Champaign.
