Always in my heart as is Mavis. I treasure all the afternoons and evenings spent in their company. I was honored to be one of Hanks models and privileged to be his friend.

One year since Mr. Fusco left us, it's hard to believe! My thoughts are with Mavis and his extended family. How wonderful to have someone you love so dearly remembered by so many in a loving way.

I am so sorry to belatedly learn of Mr. Fusco's death. I knew him from Roosevelt Junior High, and he showed a lot of compassion toward me in a difficult time. When he left for Burton I knew he would find appreciation there. From reading these entries,I have learned what a profound impact he had. May his family find comfort and know how grateful many are for his outreach and his art.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Fusco's passing. He was my art teacher at Roosevelt Jr. High in the 60's. I have wonderful memories of the weekend he invited several students to his home in Burton, Ohio to sketch some Amish neighbors. I've reminisced about that day for over 50 years. He taught me several art techniques and broadened my creativity as well. He will be missed.

Mr. Fusco was my amazing art and life teacher, as he was to so many. He went to kindergarten with my dad! His impact on innumerable students is immeasurable and the world is a much better place because of him. Thank you, Hank (z'l). with love, Marci Zabell Bone

Very sorry to hear about Mr. Fusco's passing. I knew Mr. Fusco many years ago. I attended Hawken Day Camp for six summers and he was employed there. I remember him as a very nice person. Ironically, I am also familiar with the Casterline Funeral Home in Northville, MI., as I attended high school with the late Ray J. Casterline II.

My heartfelt condolences to the Fusco family. Mr. Fusco was my greatest influence in becoming a professional artist, and became a good friend later in life. I'll always remember his wonderful stories about meeting Mavis, the most beautiful woman he ever saw and truly loved. He was so proud of his sons and family. What a blessing we all had having him in our lives. RIP dear friend.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. He was a soft spoken gentleman who with Mavis raised two fine sons..Christopher and Tim. I had the pleasure of interacting with them at Hawken. Mr. Fusco was a talented artist. We have a copy of his Put-In-Bay collage hanging in our home and admire his ability to capture the spirit of the island.

I wouldn't be an artist if it weren't for Henry. Condolences on the loss of a wonderful teacher, and fine human being and role model.

Mr. Fusco and my dad, Bruce Wilson, were co-workers at Orange High and very good friends.
I can remember Mr. Fusco very graciously critiquing my childish artwork whenever we were all visiting, and being very encouraging about my limited abilities! He always made me feel as if I could be the next Great Master! A wonderful family friend and a great, gifted teacher.
So sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my prayers and condolences for your loss.

Most of us have had a teacher who seemed to choose the profession so they could be on a big power trip over their students. That was not Henry Fusco. He became a teacher to empower his students. Offer words of encouragement. Make them feel special. He was a friend to so many of us. He cared. He was sincere. Henry was an art teacher, but he also shared with us the art of living. In recent years, he would tell me, "Go out there and squeeze life." Squeeze every drop of it. Henry did that for 92 years.

What a wonderful principal, artist, and person; I'm honored to have known him. He had a gentle spirit, good sense of humor, and a warm place in his heart for his students. I'll never forget the look of surprise (and the little grin) on his face when I crashed the 76 prom at Hiram College to use the facilities, dressed in jeans and covered in grease, after working on tractors with my brother. He will be remembered fondly by many. Prayers for Mr. Fusco and his family. May he Rest In Eternal Peace.

Mr. Fusco was a true inspiration in my life. He took an interest in me and my love for the arts. I am the proud owner of some of Mr. Fusco and Mrs Fuscos pieces. They were gifted to me while still in High School. You're guidance will always be a cherished part of my life. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the Fusco Family. Such a great, kind and patient man. Our Almighty God will surely welcome you with open arms.
