I will always be thankful for the guidance and friendship Father Grasso lent to me during my days at Morris Catholic High School. He demanded many things of me back then...all of which helped lead to the person I am today, I am so thankful he was a part of my life back then...his teachings through his actions and kindness have stay with me through my entire adulthood. There's a special place up there for him..that I am most sure of....

Father Grasso was my guardian angel. I lost my hearing in 1966 at the age of 9 and he helped my family search for a doctor who could help me. I am so grateful for all the help he has given me and my family. My family and I were members of The Queen of The Most Holy Rosary Church of Dover, NJ where his preached. He will always be in my heart.

I am a Daytona Beach native and remember Fr. Grasso from when he was entering the seminary. Our families were friends. Jim & I saw him often over the years and were happy to be at his 80th birthday celebration. We will keep the Grasso family in our prayers and entrust Fr. Richard to God's loving care. Father Grasso was such a special man, we were friends through high school and I always looked forward to our class reunions as I knew he would be there. His sense of humor always followed by a twinkle in his eye is a memory I shant forget. He is with the angels now but his legacy will remain for all those he touched along his path here on earth. My sympathy to the family, I know your hearts are broken.

Father Grasso taught my wife in High School, myself in College and he later conducted our marriage. He baptized my youngest son in the hospital a few months before he passed away and was gracious enough to conduct his funeral. Our family got to see him a couple months ago very glad we did, He was a very special man of God and will live forever in our hearts.

Thank you

For about 20 years Father Grasso held a monthly Mass at Prince of Peace for the Lithuanian Community. It was conducted bilingually, with parts by Father Grasso and parts by community members. To ensure that the elderly immigrants understood him, he always spoke slowly and clearly, with every-day examples, as a good teacher should. He will be missed by many!

Dearest Father Grasso having known you for 68 years going back to our days at St Pauls Grammer school was such a blessing. You always had the right words for the right time. You were truly gifted by the Holy Spirit. We are going to miss you greatly. You are free now from all the suffering and we will never forget you and grateful we had you here at Prince of Peace. Your absence will leave a definite void but you will remain in the hearts of many for ever. May our Lord welcome you into His Kingdom as One of His true and faithful servents

Was a great Priest, Teacher, Comforter and Friend.
His Wisdom and Council was always backed by the Word of GOD.
