DOROTHY "DOTTIE" COBB obituary, Ormond Beach, FL

DOROTHY COBB Obituary

Dorothy "Dottie" Cobb, 86, Ormond Beach, FL, passed away on December 29, 2010 at Florida Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 4th at 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Dottie was born November 10, 1924 in DeLand, Florida to Hubert and Ruth (Lott) Smith. She was a homemaker, the owner / operator and originator of Take-A-Folder company, the Public Relations Director at Ponce de Leon Springs, a legal secretary, a member of the Jr. League, Past President of the Normann Road Home Owners Association in Clyde, NC, and was very active in the Tillandsia Garden Club. Dorothy "Dottie" Cobb is survived by her husband of 50 years, Judge Warren H. Cobb, Ormond Beach; daughters, Candace Berner and her husband Roby O'Brian, St. Petersburg, FL, Debbie Berner, Ormond Beach, Catherine Cobb and her husband, Donald Poulton, Ormond Beach, and Stacy Atkins and her husband Rick, Ormond Beach; by her devoted best friend, Helen Parker, Daytona Beach; two grandchildren, Bevin O'Brian and Brittany Cobb; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Joyce; two nieces, Sandra Archer, and Leanna Smith; as well as by several grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Deane Smith and her sister, Marian Matthews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 549, Daytona Beach, FL 32115. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneral homes.com. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
