Springfield - Shannon Keith Gridley, 52, of Springfield, MO, passed away on April 21, 2021, surrounded by family. Shannon "Batman" was born on November 23, 1968, to Connie Kunaknana and Richard Gridley in Houston, TX. Shannon married Christina Strader on December 28, 1993, and was employed at Swift Transportation for 13 years. Shannon was preceded in death by both his parents and siblings, Janelle Gridley, Cara Ray, and Scott Gridley. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christina of Springfield; sisters Amanda and husband Adam Baxter of Sulphur Springs, TX, Lana Gates of Jefferson, TX, and Deana and husband Kent Goodman of Jefferson, TX; parents-in-law Jim and Linda Strader of Walnut Grove, MO; brother-in-law Steve and Alanna Strader of Springfield, MO; nephews Chris Ray, Cody Gates, Kevin Goodman, James Strader, Ryan Gridley, and Dylan Gridley; nieces Cayla Ray and fiancé Ricky Ord, Alecia Capps, Jada Love, Alyssa Strader, and McKenna Gridley. Shannon was known as "Papa" to Cara, Maddox, and Caylex Ord and Kolton, Ryder, River, and Kaise Baxter. Shannon will be missed by many other extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at Walnut Grove First Baptist Church, Walnut Grove, MO, on May 1, 2021, at 2:00pm.
