HADJIGEORGE- Nicholas, originally of Forest Hills and long time resident of West Islip, on May 19th, 2017. Loving husband of Norma for over 65 years. Devoted father of their two daughters, Helen (Michael) Balch and Christine (Roy Cotignola). Cherished grandfather of four grandsons, Joshua, Nick, Tucker and Sam Balch. Following his service in the Korean War, Nick pursued a career in aeronautical engineering with Grumman Aerospace, proudly working on the early days of the space program and on defense aircraft for the US Navy. Celebration of the liturgy of christian burial Wednesday 9:30 AM, St. Nicholas Greek Ortho-dox Church. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pine-lawn, LI. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1-4 west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Visitation Tuesday 3PM-8PM.

I worked with Nick on the F-14 Tomcat Program at Grumman. I pray that God will rest Nick's soul in peace in His Kingdom of Heaven forever. I also pray that the grieving of Nick's family and friends will be short and replaced by fond memories of Nick.
