On February 19, 2015, Barbara Lee Dougherty, born April 25, 1949, of Snow Hill, MD, died peacefully, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her mother, Muriel Shapiro of Santa Barbara, her sisters, Leslie Maul of Asheville, NC, and Nancy Shapiro of Tiburon, CA, her husband, Michael R. Dougherty of Santa Barbara, her children, Jessie Dougherty of Santa Barbara, Luke Dougherty and Elvi Jo Daly of New York and her grandchildren, Noah Dougherty, Soliegh Dougherty, Maggie Rose Gooch and Penelope Dougherty-Daly.
Teacher, Artist, Mother, Friend, Activist, Entrepreneur, Dreamer, Inspirer, Relentless Student, Spinner of Yarns and Lover of Dogs, Barb pursued those passions without compromise throughout her life.
Her education included a PhD from University of Phoenix and a JD from Concord Law School - Kaplan University.
She was loved, and will be missed.

Ran across this in the attic of my grandparents. So sorry for you loss and to now know B Dougherty is no longer painting. Was hoping to get information on this. Maybe someone will see this and let me know.
