Jody Ellentuck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 24, 2010.
Jody Ellentuck, age 55 of Danbury, wife of the late Gary Ellentuck, died at her home of natural causes on Thursday, December 16, 2010. Jody was born and raised in New York City on December 29, 1954, the daughter of famous Big Band Singer, Fran Warren (Witt) of Danbury and the late Harry Steinman. She inherited her mother's love for music and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music. Jody worked in the travel industry and for many years was associated as a successful corporate travel account executive with Rich Worldwide Travel of Westchester County, N.Y. An area resident off and on again for the past 25 years, Jody retuned in 2007 to make Connecticut her home again after living in Florida. She was a prideful member of the Brookfield Woman's Club. Jody is survived in addition to her mother of Danbury, by a sister, Athena (Tina) Witt-Grunfeld and her husband, Larry Grunfeld of Brookfield. She also leaves behind her cat, Cassie-Cat. In addition, she is survived by two stepchildren, Todd Ellentuck and his wife, Rachel and their two daughters, and Scott Ellentuck and his wife, Terri and their daughter, and son, all of New Jersey. Jody had a warm, gentle and generous heart and was loved by many, and she will be greatly missed. Private services were held at the direction of the family. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury was in charge of arrangements.

We little knew that day G-d was going to call your name;In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you,You did not go alone; For part of us all went with you, The day G-d called you home. You left us beautiful memories,Your love is still our guide;and though we cannot see you.You are alwasy by our side. Our hearts are broken, and nothing seems the same: But as G-d calls us one by one,The chain will link again.love your old friend MOUSE

I want one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel
I will feel eternity
