Jerome Goldstone Obituary

GOLDSTONE, JEROME Jerome Goldstone, 89, of Cheshire, formerly of Westbrook and Woodbridge, beloved husband of Betty Seidl Goldstone, his wife of 68 years, died peacefully at the Highland Health Care Center in Cheshire on Sunday December 5, 2010. Jerome, son of Bette Marcus Goldstone and Max Goldstone, was born in Flushing, NY on March 3, 1921. He leaves behind his son, Edward Goldstone and his wife Marris of Hamden, his daughter Judy Pusko and her husband George of Cheshire and his daughter Carol Murgo and her husband Matthew of Cheshire. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Matthew Goldstone, Daniel Goldstone and his wife Carla, Geoffrey Pusko and his wife Grace, Courtney Pusko, Erika Montgomery, Kyle Murgo and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Ella Goldstone of Wolcott. He was predeceased by his brother Howard Stone of Scarsdale, NY. Jerome served in the U.S. Army during WWII. For many years he was the owner of a package store in New Haven before working as a salesman for a liquor distributor. Jerome and his wife Betty were avid campers and square dancers. He enjoyed swimming, tennis, and golf and the many get-togethers with family and camping friends. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. A private memorial is planned. Contributions in his memory may be made to charity of ones choice.
