Stanley Waild

Stanley Waild, of Town of Pendleton, NY, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the age of 92, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Binghamton, NY, Mr. Waild resided in the Tonawandas for 20 years and then he moved to Pendleton and lived there for 62 years, and was a retired employee of Spaulding Fibre. Stanley was a Third Degree member of Madonna Council 2535 Knights of Columbus, also a member of the Holy Name Society of the former Ascension R.C. Church, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Historical Society of the Town of Pendleton and served as a Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Albert the Great R.C. Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and dancing. Husband of the late Sophia (nee Miller) Waild. Dearest father of Dennis (Amy) Waild of Baton Rouge, LA, Carol (James) D'Angelo of Sanborn, NY, and the late S. Bruce Waild. Father-in-law of Sherry Waild of North Tonawanda. Proud and loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Bertha Turtle, John (Margaret) Waild, Paul Waild and Frank Waild. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on WEDNESDAY, July 22nd from 7-9 PM and THURSDAY, July 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271), where prayers will be offered on Friday at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Parish at 10:00 AM. Entombment Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined.
