Elliott Ashkenazi

Ft. Thomas - Elliott Uriel Ashkenazi, 76, of Ft. Thomas, KY, passed away on February 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Elliott was the loving companion of Kay Acker, the devoted father of Erica Ashkenazi of Austin Texas, Jennifer (Nicholas) Guelfand of Paris, France, loving grandfather of Joshua and Zachary Guelfand, dear sister, Dinah (Uri) Evan of New York City and a nephew, Frederick (Arlene) Horowitz of Englewood, NJ. Elliott was born July 1, 1941 in New York City, He was the son of Joshua and Millie Ashkenazi. Elliott attended the University of Pennsylvania. The London School of Economics, and Harvard Law School. Elliott also served in the Air National Guard for the State of New York. He was an author, teacher and attorney in Washington D.C.. Later in his career he attended George Washington University and received a Ph.D. in History. Elliott was the Associate editor for the Documentary History Of The Supreme Court Of The United States. Elliott served as Chairman of the St. John's Community Service in Washington D.C. for people living with disabilities, He was a member of the Cosmus Club in Washington and the Highland Country Club in Ft. Thomas, KY. Services and Internment were held in Wellwood Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. Rabbi Chaim Doupko, Englewood NJ, serving the family. Memorials are suggested to the Ft. Thomas Education Foundation P.O. Box 75090 Ft. Thomas, KY 41075.
