Joan Glass Obituary
Independence - Joan Carol Glass, 86, of Independence, passed away surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. She was a homemaker and member of Florence United Methodist Church, as well as an avid gardener, cook, and animal lover. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Lawrence T. Glass; daughter, Tina Mullikin; great grandson, Hunter Hensley; and great granddaughter, Zoey Hensley. She is survived by her children, Cathy Hayes, Melody Strack, Scott Glass, Amber Hensley, and Heather Crider; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Services will be private. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to Kenton Co. Animal Shelter 1020 Mary Laidley Dr. Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. Joan was the shining light of my day. Her and Doodles were so special to me and the world is going to be a little darker now that she is gone. I know she is with Lawrence now and I know she is at peace. Prayers to all the family I miss her every day !! Kathi Herolaga

Joan was a special cousin to me . My Mom is welcoming her. They thought a lot of each other. Visiting Aunt Pearl and seeing everyone in my younger years was so special. God Bless all the family and I know Lawrence is happy to have her with him.

Joan will truly be missed even though I haven't seen her in a while at Magnolia Springs she was truly loved by us. I took care of her for a long time while she was there and I loved her and doodles very much. She was sure a pistol and always spoke her mind and that's one thing I loved about her. I also loved how much she loved doodles. She always loved to be as independent as she could. I have text Melody a few times to see how she was doing because she meant a lot to me. Sorry to hear about her passing and if I can do anything please let me know.
