Peter J. Meli

74, of Englewood, formerly of Teaneck, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 28th after a battle with cancer. Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 10th, 1944. He grew up in Teaneck, NJ, where he made lifetime friends and graduated high school. Peter loved classic cars, fine dining, and reading. He had a successful contracting company that brought him to several states across the US, where he made several lasting friendships. He is survived by his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Jennifer; his daughter Erika and son-in-law Donald; his sister Joan and brother-in-law George; grandchildren Nicole, Christopher Jr., and Donald; and his nieces Joan and Suzanne. Peter is also survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Donna Martino. He will be remembered for his cheerful disposition, optimism, and sense of humor. Peter was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Memorial visitation Saturday, May 5th at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck, from 10am-12pm, service to follow at 12pm.
